The Bank opens accounts for legal entities registered in any jurisdiction except North Korea, Iran, Syria, Sudan and Cuba.

When opening an account, communication with Bulgaria (conducting activities on the territory of the country, the presence of Bulgarian partners and counterparties) is optional.

The cost of opening an account for legal entities and individuals - 10 EUR.

Minimum balance - 100 EUR.

Using free Internet banking software.

Account maintenance for legal entities and individuals - 5 EUR/month.

Intrabank transfers - no commission is charged.

Currency transfers – 0,15% (min 15 EUR, max 350 EUR).

Terms of opening the account 

The procedure of opening the account consists of two stages: the preliminary stage and opening of the account.

The preliminary stage includes the process of gathering and filing your documents, which are required for opening an account. Term of the preliminary stage depends precisely on you.

The procedure of consideration the documents and reaching the decision by bank regarding opening an account takes from 1 to 1,5 months starting from the date when the documents and forms are submitted to the main bank office.

Unicredit Bulbank follows the «know your client» principle and therefore you may be requested to provide any additional information or documents concerning the procedure of opening the account that may take additional time, as well as refusing of account opening without reasons explanation.

Documents for opening an account

Forms for signing are provided at a bank branch in Sofia (Bulgaria).

Company’s documents – originals of all company’s statutory documents need to be provided. In case that from the date of company incorporation has passed more than 1 year, the Certificate of Good Standing under the apostille.

Documents for the account holder:    

- original of national passport;

- original of foreign passport (in case of its presence);

- confirmation of the address (utility bill not older than 3 months).

 Documents for the beneficiary:

- original of national passport;

- original of foreign passport (in case of its presence);

- confirmation of the address (utility bill not older than 3 months).

Documents for the director and shareholder of the company (may be non-residents of Bulgaria):

- copy of passport or ID-card.

The procedure of opening an account

To begin the procedure, it is necessary to provide qualitative copies of the above documents for sending to the bank for consideration. After the documents are reviewed and approved by the bank, we will coordinate the date and time of the visit to the bank’s representative office in the city of Sofia (Bulgaria) for signing bank forms.
