Norvik Banka (Latvia)

Norvik Banka has been established on April 29, 1992 and since then has been working successfully on the markets of Latvia, Europe and post-soviet countries; operating wide amount of customers from individuals to international corporations that are representing industrial section. The name Norvik Banka appeared from rebranding that took place in December 2006, previous name was Lateko Banka.

On shareholders meeting on June, 2014 it has been announced about the changes in ownership of Norvik Banka. Minority shareholders of the bank acting due to a previously established plan of value creation had sold their shares to the majority shareholder Mr. Grigoryi Guselnikov. In such a manner, Mr. Guselnikov had become an owner of 82% of the capital of the bank. The next stage will be capital increase on the amount no less than €100 mil for value creation according to the business development plan approved by FKTK.

Types of bank accounts

Personal, corporate (all accounts are multicurrency).

The bank does not open accounts for the legal entities registered in the following jurisdictions: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, United Arab Emirates, Bahamas, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Bouvet Island, Dominica, Guernsey, Cayman Islands, Marshall Islands, Isle of Man, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The cost of opening of the account (bank tariff)

The cost of opening of the account for legal entities is 420 EUR.

The amount is charged when first funds received.

Banking account becomes active only after the sum required for activation is credited to it. Before crediting of the required sum the account will remain passive.

Also bank provides an opportunity of opening a bank account urgently for the legal entities (in the period of 2 working days from the moment the bank has received all necessary documents and data which is filed according to the bank’s requirements).

Additional fee for express opening/restoration of the account for the legal entity – 500 EUR.

Changing the account holder – 150 EUR.

Changing the beneficiary of the account – 500 EUR.

Review of the information regarding merchant, required for the account maintenance, in a publicly accessible source of the relevant state – 100 EUR.

 

Fee for opening/renewal of the account for individuals – 420 EUR.

Also the bank gives an opportunity of urgent opening of the bank account for natural persons (in the period of 2 working days from the moment the bank received all necessary documents and data which are provided to the bank according to the bank’s requirements).

Additional fee for the urgent opening of the bank account for natural person is 350 EUR.

Management of the account

Software Internet Bank - E-Norvik.

For natural persons – free of charge.

For legal entities – 30 EUR per month.

Bank’s tariffs

Account maintenance for natural persons – 10 EUR per month.

 

Active account for legal entities – 20 EUR per month.

Dormant account* for legal entities:

- for the period from the 7th till the 12th month inclusive – 50 EUR per month;

- for the period from the 13th month – 100 EUR per month.

*Dormant account is an account where during the last 6 months any transactions (except for deduction of bank fees) has not been carried out or the client’s activity is not bound by other agreements in the bank.

 

Additional fee for maintenance of the account for the legal entity from the adopted by bank list of countries 

 – 150 EUR/month.

 

Intra-bank transfers (all currencies):

- between accounts of the same client – free of charge;

- between accounts of the different clients – 5 EUR.

 

Transfers (USD):

- ordinary – 50 EUR;

- standard – 70 EUR;

- urgent – 100 EUR;

- express – 130 EUR. 

 

When transferring in USD from legal entities that are non-residents of Latvia an additional fee in the amount of 0,1% from the sum (min 90 EUR, max 500 EUR) shall be paid providing that all the following conditions are satisfied simultaneously:

- the recipient’s country of registration is included in the list of countries approved by the bank  

- the recipient’s country of registration differs from the country of the recipient's bank

- the country of the recipient's bank is not Latvia.

 

Transfers (EUR) within EEA:

- up to 50 000 EUR:

standard – 15 EUR;

urgent – 30 EUR;

express – 70 EUR.

- over 50 000 EUR:

standard – 20 EUR;

urgent – 35 EUR;

express – 70 EUR.

 

Transfers (EUR) beyond EEA:

- standard – 25 EUR;

- urgent – 50 EUR;

- express – 90 EUR.

 

Transfers to the other bank in Latvia within EEA (with contribution in cash) – 0,5% from the amount (min 2,50 EUR).

Terms of opening the account

The process of opening an account begin with the preliminary stage which includes gathering and providing us with the documents needed for account opening. The term of preparatory stage depends on you.

The stage of review of the documents by bank and making a decision regarding opening an account takes from 10 to 12 business days since the documents and forms have been delivered to the bank (these is a possibility of express account opening within 2 working days).

Norvik Banka follows KYC policy and reserves the right to require additional documents what may lead to account opening term exceeding, as well as refusing of account opening without reasons explanation.

Documents for opening an account

Forms for signing are given in our office upon personal meeting.

 

Company’s documents – you should give us the originals of all corporate documents. If the company is older than 1 year we shall be provided with the Certificate of Good Standing affixed with apostille.

 

Documents for the account holder:

- original of internal passport;

- original of foreign passport (if you have);

- proof of employment;

- if the attorney holds a resident company, the Certificate of Incorporation and Article of Association of the company are required.

 

Documents for the beneficiary:

The procedure of opening an account

Before the beginning of the procedure of opening an account you have to visit our office and fill in questionary form and signing bank forms. Also, you have to bring all the required documents so they can be authorized in our office.

The bank account’s requisites may be provided by a bank before the moment of the actual acceptance (opening) of the account.
